K-pop icon G-Dragon has soared in at No.1 on Gaon chart with his latest single, "That XX."
The trends-setter jumped four slots to top the singles chart with the new acoustic sound between September 2 and 8, music distribution website Gaon showed Thursday.
The musician's feat pushed down A PINK's Jeong Eun-ji and Seo In-guk's "All For You" down to No. 2.
"All For You" is a track listed on the first sound track to tvN's TV series "Respond 1997." The singer-actors' duet debuted atop the chart in the last week of August, catapulted by the drama's popularity among people in their 20s and 30s.
Meanwhile, girl group T-ara entered at No. 4 last week with their robot-dance tune "SEXY LOVE."
What is notable on the table is PSY's "Gangnam Style," which had reigned atop the list for five weeks since its debut at No. 1 during the fourth week of July.
PSY's posh district-inspired dance single off the sixth album, "Six Rules, Part. 1" has ended its music-driven ride in the top five and came down to No. 8 during the third week of September.
Other popular K-pop singles in the top ten include Huh Gak and Zia's duet "I Need You," KARA's "Pandora," Girls' Generation member Taeyeon's "Closer," Urban Zakapa's "Hate You" and songstress Baek Ji-young's "Love and Love."
Over on the album's chart, KARA cemented themselves as the queen of K-pop in the third week of September with the fifth mini-album "PANDORA."
The "Jumping singers" jumped 19 slots from the previous week, leaping over PSY's latest smash-hit album and Super Junior's "SPY," the repackaged edition of "Sexy Free & Single."
